"A Positive View of LGBTQ: Embracing Identity and Cultivating Well-Being" by professors Sharon Rostosky and Ellen Riggle was one of two books focused on as exhibiting the importance of identity in the LGBTQ community.
The Late Night Film Series will host award-winning filmmaker, author and community activist dream hampton, who will be presenting an exclusive director's cut of her current documentary "Transparent" at 7 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the Worsham Theater.
What was expected to be a small project attracted such an inspiring amount of positive feedback from the community, that the authors wanted to share the stories with a broad audience. Using personal narratives from their research, their book focuses on how LGBTQ-identified individuals can cultivate a sense of well-being and a personal identity that allows them to flourish in all areas of life.
