Art is something everyone has an opinion about, but it can be difficult to define. There will be a conference about philosophical takes on aesthetic expression, “Perspectives in the Philosophy of Art,” on March 30th & 31st. Stefan Bird-Pollan and Tim Sundell, assistant professors in the Department of Philosophy, are co-organizing the conference, which will help conclude a year of aesthetics courses. Four invited speakers will offer their perspectives on art in society, with graduate commentary to follow. The event is free and open to the public.
