Chair: Larry Johnson, Partners for Youth
Larry Johnson is director of Community Collaboration Initiatives for Partners for Youth (formerly Director of the Mayor’s Youth Violence Prevention Program). In this position he supports the establishment of local partnerships and collaborative efforts around positive youth development and juvenile delinquency prevention.
He also serves as Coordinator of the local Disproportionate Minority Confinement (DMC) Initiative, and works with Juvenile Justice system and community stakeholder to reduce the disparate representation of kids of color in the juvenile justice system while assuring that the appropriate kids are being detained.
Additionally, he chairs Lexington’s Commission on Race Relations, is Vice President of the Humanitarium Center for Culture and Diversity, is a member of KY Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee’s Sub-committee on Equity and Justice for All Youth (SEJAY) and is a Board member of Community Ventures Corporation.
