Research

Given my training in philosophy, I am engaged in issues that pertain both to philosophy and literature in different areas of Hispanism, primarily within Early Modern, Golden Age, and Colonial Studies. I have just completed a book manuscript in which I examine Cervantes’s ethics of theatricality and the consequences of Cervantine humanism, studying the representation of the Other in his major theater and novels from a socio-historical perspective with an anchor in our present.

Areas of Specialty

  • Early Modern and Colonial Studies
  • Spanish Golden Age Theater
  • Cervantes Studies
