Matthew grew up in Auburn, MA and made the move to California fourteen years ago to escape New England’s brutal Nor’easters.  He currently lives in Richmond, CA with his wife, who is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing, and their eighteen month old daughter.  They enjoy biking along the San Francisco Bay Trail and hiking through California’s many wonderful parks.  In his spare time Matthew also enjoys brewing beer and tinkering around with Linux.  Matthew graduated from Clark University with a B.A. in Biology in 2002 and also completed the New Maps Plus Graduate Certificate program in 2016.  His interests have centered around poverty and economic insecurity in the Bay Area, especially as it relates to housing.  He is part of local political organization that has been looking for opportunities to ramp up the production of affordable housing in Richmond.  Matthew's mapping portfolio can be found https://bazini627.github.io
