Hannah Ruehl
I received my PhD in Victorian Literature in May of 2018. That same year, I joined CELT, UK's Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching. I use my experience in teaching and research to advise faculty on best teaching practices and continue to teach here at UK.
In the AENS program, I'm interested in how we can use psychology and sociology to change people's behavior around environmental issues, and help build sustainable habits.
In my instructional work, I'm, particularly, interested in how we can harness the power of curiosity in the classroom to motivate student learning and persistence in learning. I, also, co-chair the UK Curiosity Fair on campus curiosity.uky.edu.
Outside of work and school, I participate amateurishly in running, hiking, baking, singing, and woodworking with my family.
