Factors in College Hiring Decisions

Departmental hiring requests should be submitted by chairs as part of the annual departmental budgeting process (we ask that these be submitted by May 31, 2023). Hiring requests should be submitted using the Department Hiring Plan Template. 

The College looks for robust planning at the departmental level. We want faculty members to come together, not necessarily unanimously, but with broad consensus over ordered hiring priorities within the context of the College's and Department's Strategic Plans. Chairs are welcome to discuss their plans with the Dean's Office prior to submission.
